The Land Dispute

Based in Kingston Jamaica, the ISA decides the fate of nearly half the planet’s surface.
ARTICLES 136, 137 and 145 from the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982
On December 10th, 1982 The United Nations Law of the Sea was established; a legally binding convention declaring the deep seabed as the birthright of all humankind:
“…the seafloor beyond national jurisdiction and all its resources remains the common heritage of mankind and shall be held in trust for future generations…”
It also decrees that:
“no State or corporation shall claim, acquire or exercise rights with respect to the minerals recovered from the deep seabed, as all rights of those resources are vested in mankind as a whole.”
The International Seabed Authority (ISA) was born out of the necessity to ensure the rightful enforcement of that Convention.
Today, the ISA stands ready to green-light deep seabed mining in an area of the Pacific Ocean far bigger than India.
If this goes ahead,
it will create the largest mining site on Earth.

Did you give them permission to destroy your birthright?
